Maintenance
The frequency with which polished concrete floors need refinishing largely depends on the amount and type of traffic they endure. In high-traffic commercial or industrial settings, a light re-polishing or maintenance coat might be beneficial every 6-24 months to maintain optimal shine and protection. For light commercial or retail settings, a maintenance coat every 2-4 years is recommended, assuming proper routine cleaning and maintenance are performed. Signs that indicate a need for refinishing include a noticeable dulling of the shine, the appearance of scratches, or areas where the protective seal has worn down, exposing the bare concrete. Regular cleaning with appropriate pH-neutral cleaners will extend the life of the finish significantly.
